Guest Writer-Pastor Ray Schroeder

Pastor Ray Schroeder –

Pastors Corner

We would like to welcome Pastor Ray to our blog.  Pastor Ray believes that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and doesn’t stray away from what the Bible has to say. He will be sharing his thoughts every so often. He isn’t afraid to tackle those subjects that some pastors and church leaders are afraid to share. Pastor Ray will be sharing what God puts on his heart as he feels led.

Pastor Ray Schroeder holds a Doctor of Ministry degree, a Masters in Divinity, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Pastor Ray is a published author with his book ‘To Love is To Listen’, and has had articles appear in several national publications. He was chosen by the London Times as one of the top ten finalists for their Preacher of the Year award. His sermon ‘What Are You Looking For?’ was published in the London Times book The Fifth Times Book of Best Sermons. He is a gifted singer, guitarist, and pianist. However, after listing all these accomplishments he says “I count them as rubbish in order that I may gain Christ” (Philippians 3:8). “I have been blessed to be led to pastor Saint George Community Church where the Bible is held as the Word of God, Christ is lifted up and the people share God’s love.”

Ray and his lovely wife, Kathi, have 3 young adult children, Ryan, Rebecca, and Rob, and two grandchildren–Naomi and Nick.

  1. PLEASE PRAY FOR UNITY AT SGCC. ANOTHER MEMBER HAS LEFT US. IT IS SAD WE CANNOT SIT DOWN AND TALK THINGS OUT. I LOVE ALL MY CHURCH FAMILY AND HURTS ME TO SEE DIVISION IN MY HOME., GOD PLEASE HELP US. GINNY

    1. Yeah, I have been praying for that for a long time. The one thing that I do know is that even if they aren’t at our church, they are still friends and they are never far away. God has a way of working everything out according to His good. I think a lot of what is going on is misunderstandings and not hearing things right or third parties repeating and not repeating things in the right way. I do think it is a good idea for people to talk one and one and make sure what is being said or done. 90 percent of the times when I get upset and I have thought of leaving in the past, even though it was a long time ago. I found that if I would have gone to the source and asked or voiced my concern to the right person, there would have been no reason for me to get upset to begin with. I hate seeing people divided and I know that these things are Satans tools. I refuse to give into what others have said since I got burned many times and I kicked myself for not asking the person or persons directly. I hope that those who are leaving will find it in their hearts to forgive as God has forgiven and to talk to the person or persons whoever they may be and talk things out.

  2. I LOVE YOUR MESSAGES. LATELY, I HAVE BEEN SADDENED BY THE LOSS OF FOUR CHURCH FAMILY MEMBERS. BROTHERS AND SISTERS FIGHT FOR SURE, BUT THEY DON’T LEAVE HOME. THEY WORK THINGS OUT. I PRAY MY FRIENDS COME HOME TO SGCC. GOD BLESS, GINNY
