Here is day 2 of the special prayer vigil for Pastor Saeed. This isn’t written by me, it is posted on the Facebook page. His wife Naghmeh is in charge of his prayer and needs a lot of prayers. Pastor Saeed is an American. I stand in agreement and pray that Pastor Saeed and other persecuted Christians will be released. Day 2 (of 21) of Prayer and Fasting:
Matthew 11: 28-30 (NKJ)
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and LEARN FROM ME, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
I woke up today feeling tired from my trip to LA (I got home last night). There were so many things that I had to do to catch up on, but I could hear the gentle voice of the Lord calling me to Him. As I started praying for Saeed’s release and pouring my heart out to the Lord, I could hear the Lord say “LEARN FROM ME.” I realized the point of the prayer and fasting is not only to go to Jesus and pour out my heart to Jesus, but more important, a time of re-aligning my will to His Will and learning from Him.
Today, on labor day, may we go to Jesus and find rest in Him. May we spend time in His presence and open our hearts to what He wants to teach us. His thoughts are NOT our thoughts and His Ways are NOT our ways (Isaiah 55:8). May we learn to align and re-aling ourselves to His Will and His Ways.
