A pastor friend of mine posted this on Facebook. It pretty much summed up my thoughts on this whole “locker room” talk. Thanks for sharing this message Bernie.

America is descending into vulgarity,lewdness, crudeness, and profanity. Those of us who are believers need to be careful that we do not descend into this trashiness! From the book of James- ” Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” James 1:27.
What kind of world are we living in? All this “locker room” talk we hear in the news is often met with comments like this from Christians- ” It is no big deal; we all say and do things like that.” Really??
The question is today- regardless of our past- How are we living today? What do we think and talk about! The issue is: The purity of our hearts and the purity of our lips, also our actions. God calls us to live a life of purity!! Ephesians 5: 1-4. ” Be imitators of God, as beloved children, and walk in love- do not let sexual immorality or covetousness be named among us. Let no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking be named among us- let there be thanksgiving.” WE use to be in darkness,but now, in Jesus, we are light! Let us walk as children of light! II Corinthians 7: 1. ” Since we have these precious promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.”

People of God- Let us change the world rather than be changed by the world!! Bernie
