I love Christmas. It is the one time of the year where it is OK to sing songs in public that talk about the birth of Christ. It’s OK to discuss what and who Christmas is really about without getting too many people in a tizzy. Sure you always have those who celebrate Christmas because they see it as a time for family and don’t really care about Jesus. For me, I love it that I can go into stores and hear the music coming out of the speakers overhead.

I don’t want to make this a long drawn out post or message about Christ. I want it to be simple. Jesus was born to take away our sins. He may not have been born on December 25th and the Christmas story that we hear about isn’t exactly how it went according to the Bible. The important part of Christmas is Christ. Jesus is the greatest gift we will ever receive. His gift isn’t given because we deserve it. That’s what is so awesome about grace. All you have to do is open your heart up and receive Him.
