Happy Grandparents Day – My Grandkids

Image

OK! Today is Grandparents Day… And I want to let everyone know that I have the cutest most adorable grandkids ever!!! I know others that have grandkids won’t agree with me, but that is OK. Because to them their grandkids are the cutest and most adorable too.

Many know that I have a problem with the Grandma name and that is the truth. My grandkids call me either G-ma or GG and I’m perfectly fine with that. But I wanted to show the world who the most adorable, handsome and sweet my grandkids are. I am blessed to have them in the same city where I live. Even though I have a daughter who is thinking outside of my comfort zone box.

I would like to thank both of my daughters and their husbands for giving us the best grandkids ever. I may not like the grandma word, but I will always love them and I am blessed to have them and you in my life.

But here are my grandkids…

Tyson is my oldest grandson. His parents are my daughter Rebeciah and her husband Jason. He is turning into a wonderful young man. He is one of the best big brothers I have seen and he has the ornery side, but also the side that touches my heart. I was and am very proud of his dedication to our Lord and loved it when he was baptized.

Jace is what I call a free spirit. He is funny and loves to try just about anything. I think out of all the boys, he is the one that will soar like the eagles and stop at nothing. I would say he is an adrenaline junky in the making, but a very sweet boy. Jace is the second son of Beckiah and Jason. Watch out girls, here he comes!

Ashton is going to melt hearts. Ashton has a sweetness about him. But he is also a practical joker. He is the youngest of the boys that my daughter Beckiah and her husband Jason have. Ashton has the best smile and dimples.

Kora is my only grand daughter. She is so precious. Spoiling is going to be part of her future. It has been a long time since I could buy dresses and bows and now she gets them. Kora is a sweetheart and the three boys that are above her picture are her brothers. Good luck to any boys who tries to hurt her, date her or marry her, lol.

JJ is the young man holding the sign that it’s his first day in kindergarten. JJ is supersmart. I like to say it is because of me, but I guess it is really that Jessica and Jason spend time with him. She is going into Elementary Ed, so he gets to learn with her. JJ has a love for cars, muscle trucks and whatever his daddy is doing. He is my youngest most handsome 5 yr old grandson. JJ is the only child of Jessica and Jason and I think with his energy level, that may be a good thing, lol. He is a love and has a love for the lord. His favorite character in the Bible is the Holy Spirit.

Our Christmas

JJ and his friend

Christmas Eve is the beginning of Christmas for me. We do all the prep work, but the night before is when we begin things. We went to my daughter Jessica’s church for the Christmas Eve service. JJ was in the Christmas program so of course we had to go there. Even though my car was heading to my church. I was ready to turn into the parking lot when I noticed I was at my church. I had JJ in my car and he was asking if I was taking a short cut to his church. My answer to him was “Yeah, sure I’m taking a short cut”, hahha.  He almost didn’t make it. But he did a good job as did Jessica and Uriah who put together the Christmas play in a day.

Bridgette and her present from Beckiah

Our Christmas was pretty good. We had 19 people show up here at the house. It was more stressful the night before than the day of. I like to have everything ready so there is no last minute flying off the handle for me. I almost accomplished that Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day it went like it should. Everyone showed up for the gift exchange and we opened the gifts. Bridgette had a heck of a time with hers, lol. Beckiah had her name and Beckiah did the box in a box thing with duck tape around each box.

The kids liked what they got and I think everyone was happy with what they had. We didn’t go over the top this year. Which was kinda nice. We ended the evening with the dogs opening their gifts and playing with their new toys. My dogs loved them. I will write more about them on my Petter Pets Blog.

Christmas is over for another year and the New Year festivities are about to begin. For me those festivities means staying home where is is warm. It seems like there are so many nut jobs out there on New Years and this is a much safer place to be. My thoughts on is that if it is a CALM News Years day and Eve, then it just might be a CALM year. So far it hasn’t worked out that way, but that is my hopes.

When it comes to resolutions, I don’t do those. The reason why is that I kick myself in the hinney when I fail to follow through. So my resolution is to have no resolution.

I hope that each and everyone of you had a wonderful Christmas and have a Blessed Hew Year…

My Day…

Today was a full day… I did a number of things… I have a feeling I will pay the price tomorrow though… It started off with me having to go get my husbands check and then I went to Michael’s to get stuff to do my fall door wreath… They had silks on sale for 50 % off and then I knew I had some coupons… I looked in my purse and for those who know me, knows I can never find anything in my purse… But there was this really nice lady standing behind me with her droid application opened to Michael ‘s .. She shared one of her discounts… So I had an added discount… She just purchased Floral Market of St. George and will be open in a couple of weeks… I will have to remember that and go to her place… I like to shop at local places and it was awesome that she shared her discount with me… That was a chaching moment… I came home and put together my new door wreath… I’m thinking I should sale these and see if I can make some money at it… Not sure how many would buy them… But if they are custom ordered, that could work and it would give me something to do… As long as they didn’t want it right this minute… I have to do things when I can or feel good enough to do it… Let me know what you think of it…

After doing my fun craft of making my door wreath, I told  my daughter Jessica that I would video and take images of my grandson JJ while he got his belt promotion at Karate… I’m pretty impressed with the patience of his instructor… JJ has Attention Deficient Disorder and has issues with anger… Poor kid is only 4… So we will see how that goes with that diagnosis… But his instructor is awesome… I notice that JJ is doing somewhat better with paying attention… Not sure if it is the karate or the medicine… But that is a yay moment for me… I love the little guy and I feel bad when I have to constantly tell him to be quiet or stop running… He is always on turbo speed… He doesn’t do that on purpose, but sometimes it gets to be a bit much… So it is great that the Bobby Lawrence Karate St. George can handle him and help him stay focused on a level JJ can understand… Well most days understand… Check out the Belt Promotion Ceremony

After that, I went over to Red Robin because they were doing a fundraiser for this young man named Kaleb Gunter… I was very impressed with the staff, customers and everyone involved… If you would like to read more about him and follow his progress you can check out his blog called “It’s All In God’s Hands”...  Kaleb and his family, Dr’s and all those caring for him could use your prayers… He has been in the hospital for close to a month now… They all have a very long road to go down… Tonight at Red Robins in Washington, Utah you could tell how much they care about Kaleb and his family… After talking to his dad Glenn and his Step Mom Chanda, I found out that Red Robin and the managers has a very big heart for those who are in need… And I have to say that out of all of the restaurants in Southern Utah, they have to be tops when it comes to a great group of people and food… I have never had a problem there… Well, maybe there is one… They don’t have bottomless Mountain High Mud Pie… OMG! That’s all that needs to be said about that, lol…

One thing that I found totally awesome is that the managers, friends and some family members decided to shave their heads in honor of Kaleb… There was alot of bald heads running around Red Robbin… Even the managers got into the act… And this is the first time I got to really talk to Chanda and the family and I have to say that Brittney is really sweet… She wanted to shave her hair… But not all the way, just underneath the back… That took me back to my daughters doing that in school… My daughter Beckiah did with Michael Jordan’s number and Jessica didn’t have anything shaved into it… But they did shave the underside of their hair… That is so 80’s… All I was waiting for is the Rooster hair style…
